3rd Annual Rock 'n Soul Holiday Benefit Concert

The Rock 'n Soul Holiday Concert took place at the historic Regent Theatre, on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 8:00 pm. Doors opened at 7:30 p.m. The Regent Theatre is located at 7 Medford Street (off Mass. Ave.) in Arlington, Massachusetts, and is MBTA and handicap accessible, with free parking across the street

The Rock 'n Soul Holiday All Star Band was led by musical director and bassist Wolf Ginandes and featured Cliff Goodwin on guitar who was Joe Cocker's musical director for ten years, Marty Richards on drums, who currently plays with the reunited J. Geils Band, and Bill Holloman on keyboards and horns formerly with Danny Gatton, the Gatlin Brothers, and currently with Chic.

Many great musicians and performers presented a concert to raise funds to support charity with the third annual Rock 'n Soul Holiday Concert at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA on Sunday December 18, 2011 at 8:00 PM.

The 3rd Annual Rock 'n Soul Holiday Benefit Concert reached out to many of New England's finest performers to come sing a song, play a tune and revel with the fans and other musicians at a concert and sing-along.

The Rock n Soul Holiday All-Stars was led by musical director and bassist Wolf Ginandes and featured Cliff Goodwin on guitar who was Joe Cocker's musical director for ten years, Marty Richards on drums, who currently plays with the reunited J. This year the performers included former Barrence Whitfield, Boston Music Awards vocalist nominees Casey Desmond and John Powhida, and Grammy nominated Professor Doug Bell.

The price of admission was $25.00 for Reserved Seating in intimate showplace, with a very limited amount of Preferred Seating available for only $30.00 ($3 facility fee included in each ticket price).

Net proceeds from this event benefited Music Drives Us (www.musicdrivesus.org). Attendees are also asked to bring a New Unwrapped Toy or child's holiday gift for Toys For Tots.

Catch Last Year's Rock 'n Soul Holiday Benefit Concert on PBS

The 2010 Rock 'n Soul Holiday Benefit Concert was filmed and airs on select PBS stations and other stations across the U.S. this holiday season. It features Danny Klein’s Full House, Barrence Whitfield with the Rock 'n Soul Holiday All-Stars, Sal Baglio, Casey Desmond and The Fools.

The Regent Theatre is expected to sell out early and makes this an annual event that allows the music community of New England to gather for festive holiday cheer, camaraderie and to support the mission that commemorates all music styles. Classic artists share the stage with talented new comers in a musical union worthy of the holiday spirit.
