Scott Royal (Lead singer, keys, synthesizer, auxiliary percussion) went to Providence College and graduated in May with a degree in psychology. He started out playing piano, and was in a jazz band at PC, but got asked by the rest of the members to join Last One Out in March of 2009.
Scott Mesite (guitar, back-up vocals) went to Providence College and graduated in May with a degree in Sociology and a Business Studies certificate and a minor in Music. He has been playing guitar since middle school and was involved in many different ensembles before and during his time at PC. When he and Jeff Gahan met Freshman year, they started playing music together, which would ultimately become the start of the band.
Jeff Gahan (bass) went to Providence College and graduated in May with a degree in English and a degree in Social Science, with a minor in writing. He started out playing trumpet in Elementary school, and has kept it up through the present day. In high school he began playing guitar, but when during college decided to take up the bass because he felt he could be more useful playing bass since there weren’t a lot of bass players to form a band with.
Dustin Bailey (drums) went to Providence College and graduated in May with a degree in Psychology and a degree in Spanish. He originally played the saxophone growing up, but going into college he didn’t have any plans to play music, until the end of Freshman year when he asked Jeff if he could go into the Smith Center (music building on Campus) and try his hands at the drums. After that summer he had purchased a drum kit and Last One Out had its rhythm section.
