I started playing when I was ten or eleven years old. My dad inspired me to play guitar. He learned how to play guitar at the teen center when he was a kid. So I am sort of second generation self taught in my family.
Playing music moves me in many ways. Its my emotional vacuum cleaner; it helps me when I am going through tough times. Whenever I play music it may not wipe it completely away, but is helps a lot and calms me down. Whenever I get “that song” that I have always wanted to learn how to play, it gives me chills because it makes me feel like its possible for me to accomplish anything you put your mind to.
Being able to take music lessons at Alex’s Place on our awesome new guitars thanks to Music Drives Us is only going to make things better for me and others who need music to keep their lives balanced.
