Please tell us a little bit about your background in art? Art school? Mediums used?
I am a graduate of Montserrat College of Art where I studied Printmaking. In my studio I usually work in mixed media, combining woodblock prints with acrylic paint and India ink.
When did you get interested in art?
I started drawing when I was around three and I never stopped. I started taking lessons when I was ten years old.
What is your favorite art piece that you created?
I created a triptych called figure contortions with woodblock, paint, and ink. That was one of my favorite pieces. It addressed mental illness in a rather confrontational way, and that is crucial to me because it is important to put an image to a disease that is invisible to the naked eye.
What inspires your creativity? Who are your influences?
I take inspiration from things I can see, dreams I have had, and emotions that I feel. Some of my influences are Leonard Baskin, David Lynch, Kathe Kollwitz, Ralph Steadman, and Hieronymus Bosch

I love music and painting so it made perfect sense to me.
What does music mean to you?
Music is everything to me. I have been playing the drums and gigging for around ten years now and it is one of my favorite things to do.
