CONTEST RULES

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to sign-up

  • Performance must be within the 3-minute time limit

  • Must be available if chosen for Ultimate Shredder Live performance round October 14th, 2025

THE AUDITION

  • Record yourself shredding for up to 3 minutes

  • Must be your original solo or improvisation

  • Please do not use a backing track in your audition (except if you are listening in headphones as a guide)

  • Please show hands, face, and full performance

  • No edits, cuts, or overdubs

  • Upload your video as unlisted to YouTube

Equipment Rules

  • You bring your own guitar, but the amp/backline may be provided.

  • No MIDI guitars, backing loopers, or multitrack devices (unless approved)

  • Wireless systems may be allowed, but must be tested in advance

Judging Criteria

  • Speed, accuracy, technique, originality, and stage presence

Disqualification Triggers

  • Plagiarizing other solos

  • Exceeding the time limit

  • Auto-tuned guitars or looped pre-recorded leads
