Long Time Coming Album Release Benefit

On January 27, 2012, Kingston 530 is set to officially release their debut album appropriately titled Long Time Coming in a partnership with MDU at the Hard Rock Café in Boston! This promises to be the event that sets the tone for a truly momentous 2012. Kennedy from Mix 104.1 will emcee this red carpet affair complete with a silent auction, raffles, fan activities, representatives from all over the Boston area, and not to mention 5 amazing bands; Nikolas Metaxas, In Like Lions, Massachusetts Delta, Your Sister's Canary and Kingston 530 to perform live! Music has always been a real passion in Ernie's life, so when a Boston radio station asked him to write a weekly, one minute, "Rock Fact," he was intrigued by the idea.

When the Boston Herald asked to print it each week, he just couldn't say no.

Music Drives Us is a recognized 501(C)(3) charity that funds music education programs, supplies musical instruments for schools, sponsors music therapy programs, and much more.

Music Drives Us provides grants to individuals and organizations to help keep music in our schools, to help people study music, or enable organizations to provide concerts. Organizational Grants help support academic and community music programs to enrich lives. Musical Performance Grants help fund free musical performances for the community, bringing people together. For people who want to study music, we have Scholarship Grants to help them fund quality music instruction.

Music is a vital part of our daily lives allowing us to express ourselves and connect with others. Music has been known to improve scholastic performance, as well as increase concentration and self awareness. Music improves an individual’s critical analysis skills and their ability to deal with and solve problems, while music therapy has been shown to have a significant effect on an individual’s relaxation and recovery.

We need your help to support music in New England. Many celebrities and performers like Sarah Blacker and Scott Stapp have become music ambassadors, helping us spread our message about the importance of keeping music in our lives. Organizations can participate in our partnership programs to help us with our functions or projects. Not-for-profit organizations work with us as Foundation Partners providing mutual support and assistance.

We have an online store where consumers can buy wonderful merchandise to spread our message. The guitar string bracelets are a favorite. You can also make an online donation to support music in New England.
