The Ultimate Shredder Contest Recap

On February 26th Music Drives Us hosted The Ultimate Shredder Contest - an electrifying celebration of emerging guitar talent—where passion, skill, and community all took center stage!

More than just a competition, Ultimate Shredder gave guitarists of all backgrounds the chance to perform, connect, and grow. Each performer brought their own unique sound, turning the Landsdowne Pub stage into a showcase of creativity and raw energy.

This year’s event featured an outstanding panel of judges, including Ryan Roxie, Tommy Henriksen, Siobhan Cronin, Benny Goodman, and Barry Goudreau, formerly of Boston—each offered valuable insight and encouragement to the 8 contestants.

Keeping the energy high throughout the night was renowned radio personality Eddie Trunk, who served as emcee and helped make the event truly unforgettable.

Beyond the stage, the contest supported Music Drives Us’ mission to expand access to music education and instruments for underserved communities. Every note played contributed to a larger purpose—empowering the next generation through music.
